Meet Órlaith
Órlaith Sheill
Registered Clinical Counsellor, Couple Therapist & Accredited Supervisor
Hello, I’m Órlaith (pron ‘Orla’),
I’m an intuitively compassionate counsellor and couple therapist with more than 20 years of experience, but most importantly, I’m someone who genuinely cares about helping people find their way through life’s most difficult experiences.
My journey into this work is deeply personal—shaped by my own lived experiences with grief and loss, as well as the challenges of pregnancy loss and fertility treatment.

I’m a Registered PACFA Clinical Counsellor and Accredited Supervisor (#27920), and I’ve had the privilege of working in various settings, from NGOs to private practice, fertility clinics and education.
I am a specialist in grief, fertility and perinatal therapy and I am a trauma informed therapist. I have a strong academic and clinical background in educating and training in grief and trauma.
My work has taken me into the heart of grief, loss, and trauma, where I’ve supported and helped individuals, couples, and families as they navigate their unique experiences.
What drives me is a commitment to creating a safe space where you can be yourself, where your story is heard, respected and valued. My clinical practice is in Manly, on Sydney’s beautiful harbour. The Irish word (as Gaeilge) ‘Cuan’ means safe harbour/safe place of shelter. This space I have created is where you can come to be supported, whilst taking moments for yourself before and after appointments, to be by the water and have some time for you.
Online support is key to my practice, ensuring that you can access support wherever you are, rurally, interstate or internationally, and particularly if it is challenging to make an in-person appointment.
My approach is compassionate, strength-based, and rooted in the belief that every person deserves to be seen and heard.
Whether you’re managing the pain of a loved one dying, the complexities of fertility treatment, the heartbreak of pregnancy loss, major changes in your life, or the varied emotions that come with pregnancy and moving into parenthood, I’m here to offer support, guidance, to deeply listen and hold hope for you.
Le buíchoas (gratitude),
Órlaith
